Sheri Greves-Neilson has been a
professional artist for more than 20 years.
Throughout those years she has won many awards for
her drawings and paintings. She works in oil,
watercolor and pencil. She also teaches drawing
at her studio.
Sheri's work has appeared on the
cover of Western Horseman (July, 2002), and in such
magazines as Southwest Art (March 2006),
Art of the West, American Artist, and
Equus.
Her art was included in the "Colored Pencil 4" book,
published by the Colored Pencil Society of America
and is featured in the new publication, “Western
Traditions” a book on contemporary western art.
Veterinarian/author David Carlton and publisher
Bridgeline Press chose Sheri's work for the covers
of his 3 books of memoirs in 2003. Since 2003
Western Horseman Magazine has used her illustrations
in its yearly calendars.
Her shows include Cowgirl Up! in
Wickenburg, AZ., the Cheyenne Frontier Days Art
Show in Cheyenne, Wy. , the “Night of Artists” Show
in San Antonio, TX. , Miniatures and More Show at
the National Wildlife Art Museum in Jackson, Wy.,

An eternal student, Sheri is always
striving to improve her work. Classes at the
Scottsdale Artist’s School, workshops, and critiques
from artists she admires, help continue her
education.
The best part of her job is gathering
the material she uses to create her art. She goes
to her friend's ranches for branding and other ranch
activities. Her home is a small ranch in northern
California, where she lives with her husband, David,
her horses, miniature donkeys, cats, and dogs.
Sheri's work is handled by Judith Hale Gallery in
Los Olivos, Ca., Austin Galleries in Austin, Tx.,
Cody Fine Art in Cody, Wyoming, and Toh-atin
Publishing in Durango, Co.
